Dr. Karla Reyes was born and raised in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She moved to Gainesville to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida and graduated cum laude. Thereafter, she continued her education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
During dental school, Dr. Reyes was honored with the Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the Study of Prosthodontics Award and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, an honor reserved for a select group of graduating dental students recognized for their exceptional academic achievement, character and leadership.
Following dental school, Dr. Reyes went on to become a triple gator, completing the UF affiliated Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in St. Petersburg, Florida where she received advanced training in comprehensive dentistry including Invisalign, dental implant placement, advanced restorative care, and neuromodulators. She is passionate about continuing education and is committed to providing patients with modern, comprehensive care that blends the latest techniques with a personalized approach.
As a bilingual dentist, Dr. Reyes is fluent in both English and Spanish and is proud of her Nicaraguan heritage. She believes every patient deserves to feel understood, heard, cared for and safe. With a warm and compassionate approach, she takes the time to listen, answer questions and build lasting relationships so that every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care. Her mission is to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while making every visit as positive and stress-free as possible.
Outside the office, Dr. Reyes enjoys living an active lifestyle as a certified Pilates instructor and believes in the connection between movement, wellness and overall health. She also loves discovering new restaurants as a self-proclaimed foodie, cheering on the Florida Gators and spending time with her husband and their shepherd mix, Louie.
Whether she’s caring for patients or connecting with her community, Dr. Reyes strives to bring warmth, compassion and positivity to everything she does.
