Veeners in Jupiter

Riverbend Family Dentistry is pleased to offer dental veneers as an option to transform your smile.

Dental veneers significantly enhance the appearance of front teeth that may be broken, chipped, discolored or irregularly shaped without removing unnecessary tooth structure.

Veneers are very thin ceramic (porcelain) shells that are customized for a desirable natural color and shape. They are bonded to the surface of the teeth and do an amazing job of giving the patient a natural restoration of their smile that is well-tolerated by the gums and resistant to future stains.

Cases that work best for veneers include:

  • Irregularly shaped teeth
  • Fractured teeth
  • Discolored teeth not responding to whitening
  • Maligned teeth (non-orthodontic treatment)
  • Gummy smile correction

Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect During a Cosmetic Dentistry Veneers Visit?

If you are considering if veneers are right for you, call us to schedule a free cosmetic dentistry consultation and we can discuss your customized treatment plan. This plan will include photos, iTero® scan, and an in-depth discussion of treatment recommendations.

If you decide to proceed with veneers, your dentist will communicate the desired outcome with our local lab porcelain artist and a 3D printed model and wax-up will be completed to give the patient a trial and sneak peek of the temporaries based on the final tooth shape, shade, and overall appearance. The trial step helps to verify speech, esthetics, color, and most importantly patient satisfaction.

The teeth will then be reshaped (if needed) and an impression taken to communicate the final tooth shape, bite, and gum position to the lab. The porcelain artist will then skillfully create your customized new smile based exactly on the preliminary wax-up and 3D models.

Once the new veneers are ready to cement, the teeth will be cleaned and prepared for bonding. A high-quality resin cement will be utilized to adhere the veneers to your enamel and a curing light will immediately harden them into place. Excess cement is then removed and final polish and adjustments will then be completed. Following this final visit, you will immediately be able to enjoy your new smile.

What Should I Expect After My Visit?

There are no special care requirements for dental veneers. And, normal brushing and flossing can resume immediately. Because veneers are usually placed over the course of two appointments, it is normal to experience some sensitivity between the first and second visit when the teeth have been reduced in preparation for bonding.

Why Should I Consider Getting Veneers?

Veneers are a great option for anyone who wants to improve the look of their smile. People who are good candidates for dental veneers are those who want a whiter smile, have gaps in their teeth, have chipped teeth, discolored teeth, or have misaligned teeth.

Do I Get to Pick The Color of The Veneers?

Yes! Your cosmetic dentist will help you pick the perfect color shade for your new veneers. This can involve matching the shade of your veneers to your natural teeth. Or, if you’re unhappy with the coloration of your natural teeth, your dentist can help you choose a color that’s more vibrant while still naturally appealing.
